DR. SHILPA GUPTA

FOUNDER

Dr. Shilpa Gupta is a renowned Therapist and an Emotional Wellbeing Consultant with over 15 years of experience in the field of mental health. She is the Director of EmoAid, an organisation that aims at making Emotional Wellbeing available at the doorstep. She is also an International Trainer of Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) with EFTMRA- one of the best UK based organization certifying individuals in EFT and Matrix Reimprinting. Additionally, she is an eminent Parenting Consultant working actively to create happy families through her well researched interventions.

She has been working with a wide range of clients having varied mental health concerns, making her an expert in the area of resolving trauma, emotional difficulties as well as relationship challenges. Being certified in numerous established therapies and approaches, Dr. Shilpa is constantly involved in creating unique training programs and workshops to support budding and practicing mental health professionals build crucial skills.

With her drive to make Emotional Wellbeing a priority for all, she works not only at interventional but preventive level of mental health. Through various initiatives of EmoAid, such as self- help program, wellbeing programs, therapy camps, trainings and awareness workshops, she is trying to make quality mental health services affordable and accessible. During the Covid-19 pandemic times in 2020, her EmoAid Self Help program helped more than 1500 people with their ongoing symptoms of depression, anxiety and stress. In 2021 with the second wave impacting us, Dr. Shilpa along with her team has successfully conducted Covid Fear Anxiety Management programme with 100+ people in month of April and May 2021. The above program has benefitted people including children and youth who have been experiencing unsettling emotions ranging from fear, anxiety, helplessness, guilt, anger, guilt, stress, frustration and so on.

RECOGNITIONS

Accolades have also come in plenty to Dr. Shilpa Gupta. She was awarded ‘The LBF Visionary Award of Excellence’ for her contribution to the field of Parenting in October 2012. In 2013, she became one of the Global Presence Ambassadors representing India for the humanitarian community service arm of Parenting 2.0 event. During the 6th National Women Excellence Awards 2013, she was honored with the Nav Kiran Award for selfless work for women and underprivileged. In 2014, she became a Certified Matrix Imprinting Practitioner, Certified NLP Practitioner and Hypnotherapist in 2016 and in 2017, an Emotional Freedom Technique Trainer. In 2019 she became a Certified NLP Master Practioner and in 2020 the EmoAid Trainer of Trainers. DR. DEEPAK GUPTA

CHAIRPERSON

Dr. Deepak Gupta, Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, MD, DNB, DCAP (London, UK), is one of the well-known child & adolescent psychiatrists in India.

He specializes in dealing with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, emotional behavioral difficulties, trauma, school refusal, and other mental health challenges in children, adolescents, and young people. He is deeply committed to working with families with a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) across India, Asia, and the UK.

He has been associated with Sir Ganga Ram Hospital (SGRH) since 2004 and is the founder and director of the Centre for Child and Adolescent Well Being (CCAW), New Delhi which was established in 2005.

He is a trained EMDR practitioner (EMDR Association USA and INDIA, 2009, 2010,2011, 2012) and Level 1 EMDR Trainer.
Dr. Deepak has been a member of Working Group ‘Empowering the Disabled’ and’Adolescent Development’, for the XIth Plan (2007-2012), Government of India.
He has conducted workshops at various schools and colleges and has delivered lectures at national and International conferences for doctors and mental health professionals.

Dr. Deepak Gupta has been working extensively in the field of child & adolescentmental health since the year 2000.
He received the Donald Cohen Fellowship (ESCAP, Italy) and was nominated honorary member of the prestigious American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (USA).
Dr. Deepak is the President of Delhi Psychiatric Society, 2014 – 2016.
Recently in April 2016, he became a fellow of Medical Academy of Pediatric SpecialNeeds (MEDMAPS) from United States of America.
He is one of the few qualified psychiatrists in India who is a trained Biomedical Practitioner, DAN (Defeat Autism Now, Dallas, Texas, 2009) MEDMAPS, USA (2012,2013, 2016).
He is also an honorary member of the advisory panel of the Akhil Autism Foundation, New Jersey.

SHREYA TANDON

Ms. Shreya Tandon is a senior psychologist and special educator with over 10 years of experience. Shreya has imbibed a wide-ranging and eclectic approach to find solutions to concerns of children under Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and ADHD. She tailors her methods respecting each and every child’s need. Shreya says that she doesn’t need to fit everyone in the same box.

As a therapist of children, she holds great importance in empowering the parents’ community. Their happiness quotient and managing mechanism are of utmost importance to her. The nurturance a child feels during the sessions has to be sustained at home. For this, Shreya rigorously trains the mothers and family members. This has given maximum results to all her efforts. While using techniques and principles of ABA, play therapy, TEACCH, and behavior management, she emotionally strengthens the caregivers. In due course of time, her methods are adopted as an addition in their way of life and everyone begins to witness the desired results.

Shreya has studied psychology from Delhi University and completed a Masters in Clinical Psychology. She has a Diploma in Special Education (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and is a licensed professional from the Rehabilitation Council of India, Government of India. Her good work has often covered by publications like the Hindustan Times, Deccan Herald, the Times of India, Press Trust of India and the Pioneer.

In 2012, she had presented a poster on the Effectiveness of Neurofeedback Therapy for the treatment of children with ADHD at the Asian Congress on ADHD held in South Korea. Shreya holds certifications in Rapid Prompting Method, Music Therapy, Play Therapy, Attended Communication Methodologies (AACs, PECs) and Behaviour Management.
